
Further to our previous newsfeed on this, the Registrar of Companies (the “Registrar”) announced on 19 February 2021 that the final starting date for collection of data will be on 16 March 2021.
This follows the voting by the Cyprus Parliament of the amending AML Law, bringing it in line with the 5th AML EU Directive (2018/843).
The announcement states that the Registrar will soon issue the first guideline regarding the maintenance and operation of the Register, as well as a manual for the system developed for this purpose.
